Welcome to the Harold Jackson Scholarship
The Harold Jackson Scholarship
would like to announce Chantelle
LaNette O’Kelly and John
Jamison as recipients of the 2011 Harold Jackson
Scholarship Awards. Both students were presented with a
$1,000 check. They join last year's winners Richard
Tull, Jr. and Yuri
Hodges.
These
young people wrote essays that exemplified the values of play that are
central to the goals of the Harold
Jackson Scholarship: Celebrating how
play and games impact us educationally.
Chantelle LaNette O’Kelly attends Allen University and John
Jamison is a student at Virginia Union University.
We
congratulate them both and wish them much success on their next
educational journeys.

The
Harold Jackson Scholarship
provides scholarship awards to support
Philadelphia public high school students in their pursuit of higher
education. Jackson, who passed away in May of 2009 was a veteran
Philadelphia school teacher. With his passing, we lost a person who
made us smile, laugh and think. This scholarship honors his memory.
New applications available Spring 2012!
